The first step in showing a heightened level of commitment is putting goals on paper. You can see patterns emerging in your ways of thinking and behaving the moment it leaves your head and becomes visible to yourself and others.
As you prepare to write down your goals for 2019, it is helpful to consider a few things:
- Please be open to share your personal and family goals as work + life is a real concept and management needs to be aware of these important goals.
- Start with your annual goal and work backward. The key is to start with something you can measure annually and then break it down to quarterly and then monthly. The weekly and daily dimensions should switch the focus to activities that help meet the monthly metric.
